Vintage Travel in the Russian Railway Museum

Last Sunday the Russian Railway Museum hosted the Vintage Travel – a colorful event in retro style. The event had been developed together with the Library named after K. A. Timiryazev and the Retrospectve vintage style club.

Guests of the event had an opportunity to make an exciting journey into the world of old times’ fashion.

There were workshops on popular dances: argentine tango, swing and Lindy hop from Chicago and Tango Quarter dancing clubs. Guests had a discussion on travel clothes and accessories, visited photo cameras exhibition and got acquainted with interesting books. In the Modiste Salon they learnt how to create a turban and knot a tie.

Children Playground offered its young visitors a workshop on decorating of interactive greeting card and vintage games.

Atmospheric photo zones were created for amateurs of vintage photography. There was a special competition for guests in vintage costumes.

Culmination of the event was vintage fashion show by Retrospectve club and live concert of the Domino Quartet and The Optics musical bands with old times’ songs.

Despite the poor weather, the Vintage Travel event at the Museum had been visited by almost 2,000 guests.

The Russian Railway Museum thanks all the guests and organizers of the event for fantastic emotions and excellent mood.
