The Russian Railway Museum hosted the vocational event for first-year students of the SPBGEU faculty of service, tourism and hospitality

The Russian Railway Museum opened its doors for students starting their first year at the Faculty of Service, Tourism and Hospitality of the St. Petersburg State Economy University

On the first day of study, students had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the professional community of St. Petersburg.

This year, freshmen were welcomed by Deputy Director of the Russian Railway Museum Olga Korneva, General Director of the Courtyard Marriott St. Petersburg Pushkin Hotel Yakov Adamov and General Director of the Presidential Library Ilya Bykovnikov. The meeting was traditionally opened by the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg Evgeny Pankevich.

September 2019 is a symbolic month for touristic industry as 2000 delegates from more than 150 countries will meet at the General Assembly of World Tourist Organization UNWTO. This is a unique opportunity for the university community to become a part of an international professional event.
